Let Data Do the Work

Let Your Data Do the Work

ECCMA Know Your Supplier delivers rapid, cost-effective Supplier Identity Verification to strengthen your supplier optimization and master data management. AI is only effective when it has quality data to work with.

ECCMA is a not-for-profit association of supply chain experts specializing in the development and application of international data quality standards that make the supply chain safer and more efficient.

It works with government business registers to make it easier for its members to access the 300 million business records that are currently available online. ECCMA also monitors over 117,000 suppliers and notifies its members when there is a change in their legal registration status.

ECCMA Know Your Supplier matches your supplier records against this global data source, and adds either an International Business Identifier (IBID) or International Business Registration number (IBRN) for each supplier record. Learn more about the power of standardized business identifiers

ECCMA Know Your Supplier provides standardized, verified AI-ready supplier data to:

  • Minimize errors with supplier identification in master data (unverified, duplicate or redundant records)
  • Simplify and accelerate business process: Product Cataloging, Product Sourcing, Supplier Onboarding and procurement Spend Analysis.
  • Enhance the quality and reduce the cost of managing a company’s supplier master data.

The International Business Identifier (IBID) is composed of the three data elements that uniquely identify a supplier; their registration number, their legal name and their date of formation. This is data that is freely available and verifiable online from most government run business registers. ECCMA has developed unparalleled technology to support our digital research and verification facilities.

Leverage authoritative identifiers

Once supplier records are standardized with an International Business Identifier (IBID) or International Business Registration Number (IBRN) it becomes simple to map these standardized authoritative identifiers with other traditional supplier identifiers like tax IDs, CAGE Codes, GS1-GTIN etc.

You are also automatically enrolled to our Worldwide Supplier Alerts service, which alerts you of any change of your supplier’s legal status at the government register (a potential indicator of corporate risk).

Use Cases

International Business Identifier (IBID) and International Business Registration Number (IBRN)

Worldwide Supplier Alerts protect your global supply chain

When a government business register, anywhere in the world, flags a change of supplier legal status (for example from Active to Inactive when a supplier goes out of business), ECCMA Know Your Supplier alerts you automatically of this change based on the International Business Identifier (IBID) or International Business Registration Number (IBRN) now present in your supplier master data. Supplier Alerts enable you to investigate the supplier status change and take swift action to protect your business.

Manage your Company’s record on ECCMA Know Your Supplier

Companies present in ECCMA’s Know Your Supplier (eKYS) can assign an eKYS Account Record Manager (ARM). The ARM serves as a contact point for his/her business and must be an employee of the company for which s/he is an ARM. ARMs may not alter data from government business registers that is approved and verified by the ECCMA team members. eKYS ARMs can add  company contact information to their eKYS record, and control its distribution, making it easier for their suppliers or corporate customers to contact them as well as their potential trading partners.
Please contact us to apply to become an eKYS ARM.
